A Guide for Wood Burning Safety
Many northern New England households use wood as their primary or
supplementary source of heat. Because the area is forested, wood is likely
to continue to play an important role in meeting a share of our energy
needs. Wood furnaces and stoves have numerous safety concerns not normally
associated with gas and oil-fired heat sources. If these special concerns
are not accounted for, the risk of fire increases dramatically. |
